DIGITAL SHORTSBorough Council 1st October 2009 Digital Shorts is Back! Want to make a short film? Talented? Have a great idea? Then Digital Shorts is for you! The Digital Shorts scheme partners the UK Film Council New Cinema Fund to enable filmmaking talent to make short digital films with professional support. We are seeking out the most innovative and talented filmmakers in the East of England, who can demonstrate they have a fresh approach to filmmaking. Films can be of any genre within live action fiction, animation and documentary. Screen East will be choosing seven projects for development, and producing five of those films after the development period. All films will have a cash budget of up to £12,500. Sam Burton, Screen East Talent Executive and Executive Producer of the Digital Shorts short film production scheme will be touring the region to promote the 2009/2010 Scheme. At venues across the region, Sam will show a selection of films and talk about the new scheme, deadlines, how to apply and what we are looking for.
