All News items will need to be proposed to the site administrator who will then review the stories. A set of criteria for what constitutes a News item is published on the News page.
Can my profile be edited by a third party?
In short, yes, although we have little interest in doing this. The Creative Bedfordshire website has been designed specifically to offer as much autonomy to the Users as we can. Principally, all Users will take ownership of their own content as and when they sign up or make amendments. It is the Users responsibility to ensure their listing remains accurate and up to date at all times. Whilst the Site Administrators are required to approve all entries this is simply a safeguard to protect the site from inappropriate content that could implicate its credibility and detract from it being recognised as a resource for professionals.
How will people find me amongst the other listings in the Creative Directory?
The ambition is to have at least 500 Creative businesses listed on this website at any one time. This volume can clearly make looking for a specific type of business particularly difficult. Visitors to the Creative Directory will be able to select from a range of criteria when they are searching for a business. This will include specifying the type of service they require along with their location and professional experience.
I've registered to be on Creative Bedfordshire. Why can't I find my listing?
The registration process for a listing on Creative Bedfordshire is completed in two stages. Once you have completed your initial registration a verification e-mail will be sent to you to confirm this. It is only once this verification has been completed that you will be able to finish your lsting, including the uploading of images of your work.
Please note that even after verification it may take up to 48 hours for your listing to be accepted and added to the Creative Bedfordshire website.
Why has my listing been rejected?
Creative Bedfordshire has been designed as a platform for the huge range of creative talent in the Bedfordshire area. This is regardless of age and experience. We do however want to deliver a site that accurately displays the high level of professionalism that exists across the Creative Industries in Bedfordshire.
In certain instances we have to reject some listings solely on the basis of their failure to disclose key information.
In order to avoid this we would recommend that anyone looking to list their business on Creative Bedfordshire provides as detailed a listing as they are able. This should include all contact details (address, telephone, e-mail) as well as an outline of the services you provide and where possible examples of your work.
