Jane de Lacey Munday

I have been dabbling with jewellery for about 20 years and I am predominantly Self taught. However for the last 7 years my focus has been solely on Precious metal Clay, a fantastic medium to work with, which through the alchemy that occurs during the firing process results in solid Fine Silver, hallmarked by the Assay office as 999 fine silver (sterling silver being 925). Taken so much with PMC, I did the certificated training with The UK distributor of PMC. All the Jewellery that I make are unique one-off items, unless I have specifically made a mould of one of my designs, in which case I limit the number of its uses to around 10, and even then i still try to make each one of them a little different - thereby maintaining their individuality. I incorporate into my jewellery a range of inclusions and techniques, from Cubic Zirconium stones, resin enamel, fired glass enamels, fused and dichroic glass, natural gemstones and 22ct gold plating. In addition to the jewellery (for which I accept commissions) I also do Fingerprint keepsakes (fingerprint impressions captured in silver), and I also teach workshops in PMC. Examples of my work and more details can be found on my website www.jdlm.co.uk
