A marketing professional for over 12 years, I have a high level of ability and experience across the communications mix – brand development, advertising, event management, direct marketing, POS, internal communications, copywriting, PR, digital – for a wide variety of sectors including education, healthcare, technology, travel and leisure, design, public sector, charities and B2B. With considerable client side and agency project management experience, I have for the past 5 years been working as a freelance copywriter and communication consultant providing creative and commercial thinking to identify strategic opportunities and produce innovative copy for marketing and promotional campaigns that deliver bottom line results.

Copywriting gets your message across in a clear and engaging way. The right words can inspire, impress, explain, educate or sell. Sometimes, they can do all five. However, use the wrong words and all the investment you have made in design, advertising, print and digital media will have been a complete waste of time, effort and resource. Although most people can write, not everyone can write clear, concise, targeted communication that really engages the reader. A copywriter takes lots of information and distils this down into something interesting, readable and appropriate for the intended audience. I am happy to work direct with clients or as part of a marketing/design agency team.
